DIGIHEALTH
The project aims at promoting excellent, creative and innovative digital teaching and learning approaches through advanced ICT solutions to improve quality of health education. The goal is to prepare well-qualified graduates who are able to adapt to changing healthcare environments, meet societal expectations and sustain healthy environment in Lebanon and Syria.
Project objectives
-
Support Lebanese and Syrian higher education institutions in adopting and implementing new effective technologies for developing digital skills and teaching methods for an active and collaborative learning. This can be done through training of health educators on digital skills and using digital platforms enhanced with digital tools and apps to compile and exchange e-resources (cases and best practices). The project will also serve as a hub of competencies (pool of teaching experts) and clusters of different disciplines (medicine, pharmacy, public health, etc).
-
Develop the ability of academic staff at health disciplines in Lebanese amd Syrian higher education institutions to employ modern pedagogical and didactical methodologies for innovative ICT teaching and learning settings, where learners construct their knowledge through experience and reflection. This can be done through teaching of teachers sessions on innovative teaching and learning techniques, such as gamification and virtual reality.
-
Open up higher education in Lebanon and Syria to integrate refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and students from disadvantaged groups in inclusive virtual classroom settings. This can be achieved through developing e-modules and e-curriculums for a number of modules towards a blended learning model in health disciplines.
